this is the best video playback app I’ve ever used. however after updating to the new YOSEMITE OS the app cannot play in FULL SCREEN MODE

I loved this app and used it as my go to video player on Mac for years, but after upgrading to Yosemite on three different computers, all I get is a white screen when I play videos… Audio seems to work fine, just not video. I’m sure it will be fixed soon, but for now it won’t work (don’t judge it if you download this version, wait for a fix because it’s a great app!)

Th 1.0.14 app crash at launch every time. I’ve download the 1.0.17 on mxplayer website and this version is working fine. Please correct the situation!!!

Since upgrading to Yosemite, the “full screen” feature no longer works. It only produces a blank white screen for video, while audio continues to play. Fix this and MPlayerX will once again be my video player of choice.

Since Yosemite, any video that i try to open turns to a white screen as soon as i put it to full screen mode. Audio still plays, but no video. Ive choosen to download another video player until this is fixed

If anyone asks me to recommend a media player for PC, I would say VLC for sure. But for Mac, hands down MPlayerX, I have been using MPlayer for years never had any problem with it and I love it. I got a little bit disappointed about 2 weeks ago when I upgraded to Yosemite, the player stopped working properly and I went to the App store and there was no updates for it. so I waited and waited — then I decided to go straight to the website and found out there is a reason why there is no more updates in App Store, but once I installed the new version, everything works fine again. Although I also have VLC installed on my Mac, I rarely have to use it. MPlayer has everything I need in a media player. Really recommend it!!

i have used this player for a very long time without any issues, but since my last OS upgrade to yosemite it no longer works. we definitely need an upgraded version to address those issues.

Great for playing all my avi files etc., but every time I go full screen it goes completely white then I have to restart and watch in window mode :( please fix!

Everytime I try to open “FULL SCREEN” or change the size of the page, it shows nothing but a white screen. CAN”T WATCH ANYTHING unless it’s in a default size.

It was a great app before my computer was upgradted to Yosemite. I have used it for several years, and loved it. However, as many ppl have said, it can no longer play a video in full screen.

For years this was my go-to media player app. Without doubt it would consistanly play the files I needed. And now after years of reliability, this app seems to be crashing. Every. Single. Time. that I fullscreen the app, the entire screen whites out, over and over and over. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app but now I’m at my wits end. Super disappointing.

When I launch it doesn’t open I need to force quit.

you have to download from the website for it to work on 10.9.5 otherwise, it will not.

This app was the best, yet now it doesn’t work anymore with Mavericks. Please fix it !

Not opening

on osx Yosemite - does not even open :-(

Always loved this app right up until I upgraded my 13” 2012 MacBook Pro to OSX 10.10, the app still works flawlessly in windowed mode, but any time I try and enter fullscreen my whole screen goes white and the audio keeps going. This happens no matter what filetype or video codec is used, rather annoying for a video player not to be able to go fullscreen. Giving it 3 stars because other than that bug it really is a great player, just hoped there would have been an update by now since Mavericks was released over 6 months ago… guess it’s orphaned by the developer.

I can open files but once the app opens (supposively to play the video), the app freezes and I can only force quit as it is “unresponding”.
