I tried to play a wmv file using this app and it did not work. It shows a message saying that the application has stop working. I even tried other wmv files and shows the same error. I just wasted $2. Great. :-/

Please fix this. Otherwise a great app.

when i tried on my lap top (el captian os), cant use full screen(turned all white page screen) also never updated after 2012, now i heard bad news abt this app. when install this program, this program installs garbage addware like as “mackeeper” or “zip cloud" every time becarefull if u install this app.

Why does the screen blank out to white when going full screen??? This has been like this for years now. Why hasn’t this been fixed?

I downloaded free mplayerx on official site. The result is that, I was tempted into installing the mackeeper, a famous malware(or virus). Mackeeper was very hard to remove. I tried everything but failed. Trust me, I am not a newbie with computers, but a software engineer at a famous company. I had to reinstall my osx to get rid of the mackeeper, with a lot of frustrations and waste of time. I would rather pay for $10 if you could warn me of the f**king malware. Shame on you, mplayerx.

after downloading ,open it,can’t work， If you open the application, use it, you can.

It becomes totally white everytime I enter the full screen.

Everybody suggests me this app that it is a good app considering it’s free but now it seems no longer free at all, even worse, it does not play my mkv files correctly. When I open the mkv files, the app just doesn’t get to start. Now I see that the last update was about 4 years ago. It should be kept updating not to be fallen behind to demands!

This player was amazing! It plays almost all of my files specially since I use .MKV and .AVI formats. But unfortunately with the last update they didnt fix the full screen option. Whenever I play a video it works just fine until I put the option “full screen” then the screen turns all WHITE!!! Its a really good app you should fix it -.-

Love this application. It can play pretty much any video file you throw at it without the user having to download all the different extensions or go out searching for them. Please download from the AppStore. Do NOT follow the link as the developer chose to have junk software included within the “update” and although you skip the third party installations, I still found some of them on my Mac including the Safari browser had changed from Google to Yahoo. I cannot stand applications that force adware and or crap third party software on the user, it really begins the entire experience on a negaive note. Honestly, it’s not a big deal and the application you can download right here within the AppStore runs perfectly, without the worry of third party junk software installing even though you skipped all of them. Still, love the Applcaiton and use it regularly. The only thing I would change would have to be fullscreen mode, sometimes the video will change to all black when entering fullscreen. Then the user has to quit the application and start over to get video to show back up.

I haven’t checked out every feature of MPlayerX but it has NOT been buggy. Running OSX 10.10.5 and MPlayerX vs 1.1.1 …..So many video players have a border on the sides or top or bottom (when not in full screen mode). Not MPlayerX. It would be nice to have a simple loop function. Perhaps in the next release? Until then: open the Preferences window and select the Advanced option. In the text field “extra options” enter “-loop n” where n will represent the number of times you wish the video to loop. So if you wanted your video to loop 5 times one would enter: “-loop 5” (without the quotes). Then select the General tab and then close the Preferences window.……..The MPlayerX website download was free, which is a lot of feature packed software for the money.

Doesn’t working in full screen. When trying to use full screen all goes white! When researched I found its a know issue and the version in the apple store is old!!!! My anti-virus app blocks the download from their website. Found out after more research its a known virus!!!!! Scary!!!!!

App continues to fail reporting there is an error when trying to open videos on the internet.

big problem when i enlarge the screen it went all white i can’t see anything just hear the audio NOT FIXED YET!!!!

Paid the $2. Trying to play IP camera files off a Mobotix camera which is in a motion jpeg format. Of course I am unable find a suitable email to get support from the company. the MPlayerX Support site offers NO support of any kind.
