Don’t download this app from developers site as menstioned in description. Contains Adware including Mackeeper.

rubbish! paid for the app, downloaded it and can’t start it because it freezes at lanuch! don’t download!

When switch to fullscreen - video is turn off, and enable only White screen ! Sound is ok, but screen is white.. Please fix this ?!

app open white screen instead of playing movie in full window view. The problem existing for a very long time and nobody trying to fix it.

Impossible to watch videos in full screen mode - no picture, just sound and white screen if exit full screen mode, nothing happens - restart needed (mac os 10.12.2)

Doesn’t run well with os yosemite. When you go on full screen you just see everything white and you can only hear the sounds

Doesn’t work fine on Yosemite, the full-screen mode shows a white screen without images, I can only hear the sound. This app, that was fantastic, needs an urgent update.

It seems to start my videos immediately… But only the audio. The picture is entirely white, and I can’t seem to figure out what else needs to be done to convert the whole thing?? Any hep would be much appreciated. Have yet to be able to use it effectively with anything. After quitting, I realize I could see it as well. Until I try to enlarge it to full screen, when it returns to all white. Any suggestions? Okay. Can’t watch full screen, but otherwise working well.

Avoid the direct download link that is listed in the description by the author. The installer for it tries to install a bunch of unwanted and unnecessary apps. Use the version in the App store instead.

I have used a version of MPlayer for years, and needed a new player so I bought this one on the app store. However, there is a bug (I can’t play videos in full screen, the display just turns white) which have been reported by other users. When I tried to contact support, there is no link or contact form on the authors website. There is a note on the app store page directing people to download a newer verson from a web site, but I see some users are reporting that link has malware. The author hasn’t bothered to post an update in the app store which is a big red flag. I guess I wasted my money on this app. Bummer.

It used to be a good player and I love it when it’s working. I don’t know why the new version dosen’t work on my laptop...

Malwarebytes reports it as malware.. deleted it. The program should be removed from App Store.

This software may be a good app, except when going into full-screen mode (you’ll get a completely white screen). Any newer versions of this app must be downloaded from another site, not from the Apple App Store. The reason is likely due to the malware found in versions hosted by the author of this app. Search the Internet for MPlayerX and malware, and you will find that the app contains malware. My anti-malware software also detects the malware. So, even though you may find the app very useful, I just wanted to share this info. There is a “cost" associated with this “free” app.

Goes white on full screen. Based on web research, this is a known problem. Broken.
